You will quickly learn that I love teaching, and I love our family at St. Teresa of Calcutta! My journey to become a teacher began when I earned my degree from Bentley College in Economics/Finance. A few years later, I completed a post-baccalaureate certificate program for Elementary Education through Westfield State College, where I earned a teaching certificate from the State of Massachusetts. I previously taught 5th grade as a Catholic educator in Connecticut at St. Bridget School. As a committed lifelong learner, I continue to discover new and exciting teaching strategies, best practices, and innovative ways to inspire learning.
MY FAMILY I have been married to my husband Paul for 20 years and my two sons, Michael (18) and Stephen (16), are my everything. We keep busy with traveling, band, orchestra, boyscouts, and spending time with extended family that live in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
INTERESTS In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, exercising, and traveling. I have traveled to Hungary, Austria, Italy, and many states across the United States. I love experiencing new places and learning all about the foods, culture, and history everywhere I travel. I also LOVE the beach! We have spent a week in Nagshead, NC with family for 12 years. It is always a highlight of our summers!
WELCOME I am beyond excited to welcome back my new 4th grade students and teach them in a Catholic environment, sharing how to live prayerful lives and grow closer to Jesus all the while becoming independent lifelong learners. I strongly believe in building a joyful, engaging classroom and school community. I work hard to develop each student's academic, social and emotional skills in a safe and developmentary appropriate manner.
I feel honored and blessed to be teaching 4th grade at St. Teresa of Calcutta School!
