There is no wrong or right way to do art as long as the directives are followed. We are going to use a lot of mediums and learn a lot of styles from artists here and gone. 


 Welcome to a new year in art.  Art is taught from grades 2-8.   In art  we disuss various artists, their works and  their styles. Along with the taking those ideas the students create their own "work of art".   Students are encouraged to use their imagination and incorporate that into their piece.

Gradinng:
Grading is based on a 4-1 scale.

If a student does not put their name on their work they will automaticallyy receive a 2.


Since art may have a tendencay to get a tad bit messy we have old lab coats that the students can use for smocks.  If the students would like they can bring in their own smock to keep in the art room for the year. Please make sure that the student has their name on it .  Students are highly encouraged to wear a smock if they choose when dealing with a medium that may be  , or has the potential to be messy!
