The mission statement of the Office of Catholic Education boldly proclaims that:
Catholic Schools form Catholic students to be full and practicing members of the Church, are centers of evangelization that call all to live fully the message of Jesus Christ, and are centers of academic excellence that rigorously prepare students to be life-long learners and contributing members of the global community.
The curriculum guidelines formulated and distributed by the
Office of Catholic Education and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia
serve as the basis of all instruction at St. Teresa of Calcutta.
In addition to our regular Math standards put forth under the
Core Curriculum we also offer a Honors Math program for grades 5-8.
World Language is incorporated into the curriculum in grades K-2 and is a Special subject for grades 3-8.
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) provides Special education and counseling services to St. Teresa of Calcutta School. This support includes a Reading and Math Specialist, Speech Therapist, and Guidance Counselor. These individuals work with our classroom teachers to make sure students are receiving the help they need.
